Answers To All Your Questions

HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU TAKE ON A GROUP WALK?

I am a fully insured walker and will take a maximum of 8 dogs on a walk at one time.

WILL YOU MEET US BEFORE?

Absolutely! I will arrange an initial consultation with you, so we can discuss all of yours and your pets needs. I can also come out on a short walk with you and your dog, enabling me to get to know them better.

WHO LOOKS AFTER MY PETS?

At Paws Pet Services it's just myself, so I will be the only one looking after them. When I do over night stays, my other half will be with me part of the time as well.

MY DOG HAS BEHAVIOURAL ISSUES SO I STRUGGLE TO FIND CARE FOR HIM, CAN YOU HELP?

I am fully aware that not every dog is perfect and it's very common for dogs to suffer with aggression, anxiety, etc. I can offer solo walks if they are reactive to other dogs (as long as I have the availability) and I also just ask that you are completely honest with me about how they behave on a walk. This just gives me all the tools to walk them safely and make sure they are as comfortable as possible. I will happily walk in areas where I know will be quiet/away from traffic/not near any livestock. I can also walk from your house, meaning they don't have to travel in my van, if they are uncomfortable with this. If your dog wears a muzzle that's absolutely fine too.

WHERE DO YOU GO ON YOUR DOG WALKS?

I go on walks that I'm really familiar with and have tried and tested, to ensure all the dogs will be safe. I walk around South Wonston, Kings Worthy, Barton Stacey and Sparsholt. I also aim to walk were I know there won't be other people or animals.

WHAT IF MY PET FALLS ILL UNDER YOUR CARE?

Before walking, visiting or sitting your pet I will ensure I have all the relevant information, if I ever need to contact you or their vet. I will contact you and do whatever you request, however in the case of me not being able to get hold of you, I will make the decision to do whatever is best for your pet.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Please contact me by email, text message, Whatsapp, phone call or fill out the contact form at the bottom of the home page. Please allow me up to 5 days to reply due to me working alone and I can have a high work load. If you don't get a reply in that time frame, feel free to message again just incase I haven't seen it.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?

No I don't have a cancellation policy as I completely understand how unpredictable life events and work can be! I just kindly ask that you give me as much notice as possible so I can refill the space.

CAN YOU TAKE ON BOOKINGS AT THE LAST MINUTE?

Yes I have no problem with this, as long as I have availability. Please note, I get booked up with pet/home sitting very early on at the start of year, so availability can be limited.

DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANYTHING FOR YOU WHEN YOU CARE FOR MY PET?

For dog walking, all I need is your dog (obviously), with its collar, ID tag with up to date contact information for yourself and a dog lead that preferably isn't a retractable one.
For home visits and dog sitting, feel free to leave me a note on the side with any relevant information you think will be useful to me, such as their food, where their lead is, where their favourite sleeping place is, etc.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?

I cover the North of Winchester.

For dog walking and home visits I cover South Wonston, Wonston, Stoke Charity, Sutton Scotney, Barton Stacey, Harestock, Weeke, Teg Down, Littleton, Kings Worthy, Headbourne Worthy, Worthy Down.

For Dog Sitting I cover South Wonston, Wonston, Stoke Charity, Sutton Scotney, Barton Stacey, Harestock, Weeke, Kings Worthy, Headbourne Worthy, Worthy Down, Sparsholt, Teg Down, Micheldever, Itchen Abbas, Easton, Abbots Barton and Winchester City centre.

If you don't see your location on the list, feel free to contact me as I may still be able to cover it.

WHAT PETS ARE YOU ABLE TO LOOK AFTER?

I am comfortable and experienced with many animals/reptiles. Just drop me a message if you have an exotic animal that needs slightly more intricate care.
